About Zetyra
Making rigorous statistical tools accessible to everyone
The Problem
Statistical software for experimental design hasn't meaningfully evolved in 20 years. The tools biostatisticians and data scientists rely on for critical decisions—clinical trial stopping rules, A/B test sample sizes, adaptive designs—are either:
Expensive and desktop-bound
PASS and nQuery cost $1,000-2,000+/year per seat, require Windows, and can't be shared or collaborated on.
DIY scripts
Writing R or Python scripts from scratch every time is error-prone, time-consuming, and doesn't scale across teams.
Black boxes
Legacy tools hide their methodology. When regulators ask "how did you compute this boundary?"—good luck explaining.
The Solution
Zetyra is built on three principles:
Web-First
Access from any browser, on any device. Share scenarios with colleagues via a link. No installation required.
Collaborative
Save scenarios to projects. Compare designs side-by-side. Export professional reports your stakeholders can understand.
Transparent
We show our work. Every calculation cites the method used. No black boxes—just glass boxes.
Technical Philosophy
We don't reinvent the wheel. Zetyra wraps industry-standard, peer-reviewed statistical packages in a modern interface:
gsDesignGroup Sequential Designs
The same R package used in FDA submissions worldwide. O'Brien-Fleming, Pocock, and Hwang-Shih-DeCani spending functions—computed exactly as the regulatory community expects.
SciPySample Size & Power
Python's scientific computing stack for t-tests, chi-square, and CUPED calculations. Fast, validated, and reproducible.
NumPyBayesian Simulations
Monte Carlo simulations for predictive probability. Transparent posterior calculations you can verify.
The promise: If you trust R's gsDesign package, you can trust Zetyra. We just make it easier to use.
The Creator
Maggie Qian
Biostatistician & Founder
I've spent years as a biostatistician working on clinical trials and early cancer detection. I was tired of choosing between expensive, clunky legacy software and writing my own R scripts from scratch every time a new trial came along.
Zetyra is the tool I wished I had—one that combines the rigor of validated statistical methods with a modern, intuitive interface that doesn't require a PhD to operate.
I also write about statistics and evidence-based decision making at Evidence in the Wild—where Zetyra is the practical application of the statistical storytelling I do there.
Our Promise
We believe robust statistical tools should be accessible, not locked behind enterprise paywalls. Whether you're a solo biostatistician, a startup data scientist, or an enterprise team—you deserve tools that match the importance of the decisions you're making.
